We strive to make our events welcoming to everyone and aim to make the event as accessible as possible for all guests. We offer accessible facilities and parking for those who need it. The following information provides details about the accessible provisions at Mucky Weekender. If you have any questions that are not answered below, please contact us.
Site Information
Mucky Weekender is held in 30 acres of parkland with no hardstanding areas. The ground is reasonably flat and even. Whilst there are some sheltered areas, including marquees, stretch tents and performance spaces, it is mainly an open-air event. Ground conditions are therefore weather dependent. If we experience extreme weather, the ground may become muddy, therefore mobility across the site may become compromised.
We will be offering the following for disabled customers:
– Dedicated accessible toilet and shower facilities within the campsite.
– Dedicated accessible toilet facilities within the event arena with combination locks so only guests that require them can use them. There is also a mobile number displayed inside each accessible toilet so, should the facility require servicing, our team can be notified and it can be rectified immediately.
– Accessible parking, with your Blue Badge on display.
– Medical teams to assist you with any issues that may arise over the weekend.
Accessible Camping and Live-in Vehicle Spaces
The accessible campsite is located very close to the wristbanding entry, and the live-in vehicle spaces are also at the closest point to the entry gate. All pitches are accessible and dedicated facilities are located in the campsite.
Essential Companion Scheme
At Mucky Weekender Festival, we offer an Essential Companion ticket for attendees who need personal support in order to take part. This may include assistance with mobility, health-related needs, or communication. If you’d like to access this support, you’ll need to provide your Access Card details when applying for accessible tickets and facilities. To qualify for an Essential Companion ticket, your card must include the +1 symbol, which confirms that support from another person is required. If you don’t currently have an Access Card, you can apply for a free Digital Access Pass (DAP) through Nimbus. This pass allows you to register your access requirements and request the relevant facilities for the festival.
Already have an Access Card or Mucky Weekender DAP?
– If you already have a Nimbus Access Card showing a +1, you do not need to apply again.
– To use your Nimbus Access Card or Mucky Weekender Digital Access Pass number (found on your confirmation email), simply email your booking confirmation (after you have purchased your festival ticket) along with your Card or DAP number to info@mucky-weekender.co.uk.
– The festival ticket must be in the name of the person with the accessibility requirement. We will then add your essential companion ticket to your booking. Access to the accessible campsite, parking, and facilities will also be arranged via this email address.
